Men’s Ministry Overview

Mission Statement
The FBC Tanner Men’s Ministry seeks to help men connect with God, their family and other men for the purpose of fostering relationships in Jesus Christ. We seek to provide opportunities for men to disciple and train other men, resulting in an accountability and a deepening of relationships with family members and with God. We’re also committed to helping men through the many challenges of life.

Keeping Jesus' two supreme commandments, "love God and love people" as our guide, we commit that any activity or ministry we sponsor will be purposeful, excellent, and balanced in the following areas:

  1. Affirmation - Men encouraging and teaching each other about God and His Word.

  2. Quality Time - Men spending time with each other getting to know each other's wants, needs and desires.

  3. Gifts - Men giving to those in need in the community through money, things, etc.

  4. Acts of Service -  Men working together to address needs of the church and the community through projects and small group efforts.

All activities support the work of the church and may consist of one or more of the fundamentals of a healthy church including worship, fellowship, discipleship, evangelism, and ministry.

Men's-Breakfast.jpg

fellowship

Please join us as we break bread
(and bacon!) together, and spend the first Sunday morning of every month at 7 AM dedicated to sharpening and encouraging one another as we discuss God’s Word and enjoy fellowship together as brothers in Christ.

Also every Tuesday morning many of our men meet at a local restaurant for a time of prayer and to enjoy a meal together. Contact us to find out how you become connected through our men’s fellowship opportunities.

Discipleship.jpg

discipleship

Christ took 12 men and freely gave to them so they in turn would freely give to others. That Gospel freely given has spread throughout and may not stop with us but only continue stronger one person at a time. It is our desire that you become actively involved in discipleship so that you can grow spiritually and become who God has called you to be. He wants to use you for His kingdom but it is up to you to engage your life in His will.

service

The Men’s Ministry at FBC Tanner regularly works with organizations such as CASA and Habitat for Humanity to minister to those in our community. Our construction team also specializes in helping those in the community in need of a wheelchair ramp. Our goal is to serve others and while we serve them, truly show the love of Jesus through our service. We want you to be involved in what God is doing at FBC Tanner.
